Workshop - Fabricating Fashion?

This workshop, hosted by the Sainsbury Research Unit and the AHRC-funded Fijian Research Project, will explore the ways Pacific textile arts relate to the body, are culturally relevant, and how they are cared for in museum collections.

Join contemporary textile artists of the Pacific Islands, museum curators and conservators, academic researchers and textile art enthusiasts to share artistic skills, opinions, experiences and reflections.

The workshop will be led by Polynesian artist Rosanna Raymond, along with designers who will take part in the first London Pacific Fashion Show (5 October).

Monday 1 October 2.30pm – 6pm, Tuesday 2 October 10am – 6.45pm;
