From ten week evening courses to single day short courses, the Sainsbury Institute for Art offers a broad variety of study programmes aimed either at those entirely new to the subjects of art history, archaeology and anthropology or for those wishing to continue their studies at a more advanced level.
These courses are ideal for anyone thinking about returning to study, part-time or full-time, and wishing to find out what that might involve. A tutor will guide you through the course, which will be taught in small classes with a relaxed and informal atmosphere.
If you are 21 or over, have some post-16 formal qualifications (for example, BTEC, A-levels, or a degree in another discipline) which you gained three or more years ago, and have an interest in studying the history of artistic, visual and material cultures, these courses are for you.
An annual programme of full day and half day courses looking at various aspects of art history, archaeology and anthropology. These courses are open to all and require no formal qualifications in order to take part.
